Read

If you are reading something related to your interests, it is fun and not a hard work. So I found for you many resources to to make reading fun.

Graded Readers

Graded readers (articles graded for levels of difficulty, starting from easiest) is your best start to read.

Voice of America

Voice of America Learning English has many articles (sound audio + text transcript, or video + subtitles) for any taste or interest, from intermediate to advanced. I prefer text + audio: it loads faster and is easier to follow (less distracting: no talking heads), and also allows to get IPA pronunciation guide. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for audio programs.

...and more, grouped by levels.
Sadly, such great resource is hard to access because there is no good way to search archives for articles, only list them in small chunks. Email VOA that having better search of archives would make it more useful. I did.

ManyThings.org

ManyThings.org has excellent archive of old VOA articles, and much more:

Comics

The best way to read and have fun (when you already know, or are not concerned, about pronunciation), deserving a separate page for high quality English comics and same comics in two languages.

Simple English Wikipedia

Many articles about whatever interests you but no audio. Uses simpler language than main wikipedia.

Lingro

You can translate any page from simple or full wikipedia with Lingro.com from English to few languages (Russian, Polish, Spanish, French, Italian, Portugese), so you don't have to look it up in dictionary (but also you miss the chance to add a dot next to it, and see if it is a word worth to remember). Amazing resource for any language learner!

Advanced reading

When you want to continue your reading, English wikipedia will keep you busy for many months. Or you can try free courses of English:
